Nordberg slump costs Munich

Munich had high hopes going into the season after a top 3 finish last season. Moves to bring in veteran players with WESCup experience seemed a shrewd move by Bett, however it has been the form of ever reliable Oskar Nordberg that has cost the club greatly.

"No idea. I have no idea what has gone wrong with him. I don't know if it's a woman that has got into his head or if he has had enough of football, he's a different player to the one who was signed and has come through the ranks."

Signed as a 20 year old, Nordberg has been Munich's number 1 for 5 seasons posting solid numbers to attract the likes of Houston to enquire on his availability. It is not believed that his head has been turned and if there was any chance of a move his recent form has firmly closed that book.

WESCup aside as Munich effectively out of it, their league form has suffered drastically also. 2 wins appeared to have steadied the ship but then a 3-0 defeat st resurgent Liverpool put that brakes on that and on top of elimination from the Regional Cup to minnows Amsterdam has the Munich boss scratching his head.

"For now Nordberg will be our backup. Tony will have the chance to keep the position whilst we figure out what to do with Nordberg. We have every faith Tony will do the job for us."

Munich released Danny Gadsby and Luis Jaime today.

"Without the extra competitions we don't need them unfortunately, we wish them well in the future."

Rumours of a return of erratic goalkeeper Fabrice Essomba were quickly quashed by Bett on his way out of his press conference.

"Hell no would I take back that nutcase!"

Maybe the reason isn't the players...

[Frank is interrogating Nordberg about the source of his incident, while Nordberg is only partly conscious from anesthesia, which Frank is incompetently unaware of] Frank: Nordberg, it's me, Frank. Now, who did this to you? Det. Nordberg: [Struggling to tell the name of the ship he was attacked on] I... Love... You. Frank: [Awkwardly] I... love you, too, Nordberg. Who were they? Det. Nordberg: [half-consciously] Ship... boat. Frank: That's right, Nordberg. A boat. Now, when you're better, we'll go sailing together on a boat. We'll take a cruise just like last year. Det. Nordberg: [half-consciously] No... Drugs... Frank: Hey, Nurse! Quick! Give this man some drugs! Quick! Can't you see he's in pain? Give him a shot quickly! [nurse administers drugs] Det. Nordberg: No... no... [pulls Frank towards him] Det. Nordberg: [half-consciously] Heroin... Heroin, Frank! Frank: Uh, Nordberg... that's a pretty tall order. You're gonna have to give me a couple of days on that one.
